3.6.1 Active Test Definitions
Harley Davidson® Delphi
Some of these features are limited to certain model motorcycles and certain ECUs. Also, there are videos and pictures below each test to show as an example, keep in mind some of these examples may differ from the motorcycle you are working due to year and model.
System
- System Relay
- When activating the test for the system relay, the ECU will temporary Ground (GN/O), which will switch the relay providing the 12v Output (Y/GN).
- Fuel Pump

By using this active test, you are temporarily activating the fuel pump and then deactivating it. When doing this you will hear the fuel pump kick on, then off.
- Coolant Pump

By using this active test, you are temporarily activating the coolant pump and then deactivating it. When doing this you will hear the pump kick on, then off.
- Dash Indicator

- ABS

Will temporarily turn on the ABS light indicator on the dash.
- Battery

Will temporarily turn on the Battery light indicator on the dash.

- Will temporarily turn on the Head light indicator on the dash.

- Will temporarily turn on the Water Temperature light indicator on the dash.
Gauges
- Speedometer

This feature will temporarily test the speedometer by sending a signal to the speedometer and making the needle go from zero to 120 MPH and back to zero.
- Tachometer

This feature will temporarily test the tachometer by sending a signal to the tachometer and making the needle go from zero to 8000 RPMs and back to zero.

- Right Turn Signal – This will temporarily enable the right turn signal light on the motorcycle.
- Left Turn Signal – This will temporarily enable the left turn signal light on the motorcycle.
- Head Light Test – This will temporarily enable the head light on the motorcycle.
- Brake Light Test – This will temporarily enable the brake light on the motorcycle.
Actuators
- Idle Air Control (IAC)

The IAC, is a device commonly used in fuel-injected motorcycles to control the engine's idling rotational speed (RPM).
- Throttle Actuator

The TCA, mounted to the intake manifold, operates the throttle plate internal to the induction module on the engine
The Centurion's Active Tests & Settings are filtered by ECU and limited to what the ECU actually supports. Some ECUs differ within the brand and cannot be filtered before connection, the Centurion will indicate if an attempted procedure is not supported by the ECU variation present.
