Tuning One Cylinder At a Time
If your TRO2 controller ends up malfunctioning and not working properly then you can still finish tuning the bike you’re working on with one cylinder at a time.
- First you need to determine which TRO2 connector is not working.
- Make sure you do not confuse this with a TRO2 sensor not working, if this ends up being the case then you can follow the steps here to tune with only one sensor.
- Below click on the image of the situation you are in, either the yellow connector is not working, and you can only use the gray connector, or the gray connector is not working, and you must use the yellow connector for both cylinders.
**CLICK ON THE IMAGE BELOW THAT REPRESENTS YOUR SITUATION.**
- If the Yellow Connector on the TRo2 Controller is no longer working or goes bad, we can still finish tuning the bike using only the Gray Connector.
- Tune the rear cylinder as usual with the Gray Connector.
-
Next, when ready to tune the front cylinder, disconnect the Grey Connector from the sensor that is in the rear cylinder and plug it in to the sensor that is connected to the front cylinder.
-
Before tuning the front cylinder, you will need to configure the TRO2 controller to use the information for the front cylinder.
-
In the upper left, click ‘Options’, then ‘Ext. O2 Controller’
-
Click the tab in the upper right ‘TRO2 Faulty’, because the Yellow Connector is not working, we want to start by clicking ‘Alternative Configuration’, next you will select ‘Yellow Connector’ under VE (Front). Click ‘OK’.
NOTE: If you reopen this window you will have to click ‘Alternative Configuration’ again as it will automatically unselect itself if reopened.
- Now you are ready to tune the front cylinder, just like you did with the rear cylinder.
