11.6.2 Wideband o2 Sensors Aren’t Reading Correctly
Issue: My wideband sensors don't seem to be reading correctly.
A few suggestions:
- Some wideband kits have a calibration feature that should be done before first use and after so many hours of use. Ie. the TRO2 has a Free Air Calibration procedure that is very easy to perform.
- Make sure the sensors are monitoring the correct cylinder. Ie The TRO2 has a yellow band on the sensor for the front.
- Positioning is very important. Check that the positions of the wideband sensors are as close to ideal as possible.
- Check for intake manifold leaks.
