11.6.2 Wideband o2 Sensors Aren’t Reading Correctly

Issue: My wideband sensors don't seem to be reading correctly.

A few suggestions:
  1. Some wideband kits have a calibration feature that should be done before first use and after so many hours of use. Ie. the TRO2 has a Free Air Calibration procedure that is very easy to perform.
  2. Make sure the sensors are monitoring the correct cylinder. Ie The TRO2 has a yellow band on the sensor for the front.
  3. Positioning is very important. Check that the positions of the wideband sensors are as close to ideal as possible.
  4. Check for intake manifold leaks.
