11.2.2 Decel Pop After Auto-Tuning
Q: I've done a number of auto-mapping sessions and I still have a lot of popping when I decelerate.
First make sure the ECU has been programmed using the "Final AFR Mode".Auto-Mapping is a power feature, but sometimes deceleration can cause false enleanment readings and fools the sensors.
An easy fix for deceleration pop is to increase the VE values in the deceleration range.Start with adding 8-12 points of VE per cell in this range. Program these changes to the ECU and see if the popping condition has improved.
